Halloween Fun!

The majority of students in the unit have never heard of Halloween. Most of these students come from countries that do not celebrate Halloween. During the month of October, I introduced them to my favorite holiday. We read books about pumpkins, bats, ghosts, skeletons, and etc. We even carved a pumpkin, created ghosts from milk jugs, and went on a field trip to Jackson’s Orchard. The students had a blast doing all of these experiences. It was a great way for them to experience American culture.
